Who Needs Ocean Views?
So, I've always been of the school of thought that when I finally tie the knot, it's ocean views or nothing. That is until we had the great pleasure of coordinating Whitney and Chris' Nantucket Golf Club wedding... what a stunning affair!
Brea McDonald and Meg Simone captured the combined efforts of Soiree Floral, Placesetters, Nantucket Tents and Capron during this beautiful wedding.
The boys strolled past the 18th hole on their way to the ceremony site

The ceremony was held on the practice range, a first for NGC, but definitely not the last!

We had an absolutely PERFECT day for a wedding... not only did the weather cooperate, but our ring bearers did too!

Whitney and her dad began their procession from the clubhouse...

... and strolled down a long winding cart path to the ceremony

After the "I do" the guests were led to the club house deck for cocktail hour

Chris and Whitney went for pictures during cocktail hour and Brea caught some stunning sunset shots...

and while the sun was setting, we were also lucky enough to have a beautiful full moon rising

And everyone had a wonderful time and danced the night away...

And Whitney and Chris lived happily ever after!

Rainy Day Wedding
This grey and rainy day has us reflecting on how very lucky we were with our wedding weather this season... only a couple of drops darkened our brides' special days, but one in particular sticks in our mind.
Katherine and Johnny were married at Great Harbor Yacht Club in June of this summer, and while the weather was less than ideal, Katherine and Johnny were blissfully happy!
All along our couple had planned to arrive at their cocktail hour via Great Harbor's launch...

so when the sky cleared for a bit they decided to take a chance...

Unfortuntately, just seconds into their five minute boat ride, the skies opened up and poured on our newlyweds!
Katherine and Johnny, handled their weather mishap with grace and humor, and after drying off quickly they joined their reception and danced the night away... safe and dry indoors!

After watching the weather all night, we decided to risk it one more time... thankfully the weather cooperated and we had a 15 minute window of clear skies which allowed Johnny and Katherine to have their sparkler sendoff!

While we always prey for sunshine and we generally get lucky, every once in a while this New England island of ours doesn't cooperate... Johnny & Katherine appreciated that rain or shine the true blessing of their day was that they got to say "I do" to each other surronded by friends and family. May the sun forever shine on you both... congratulations Johnny and Katherine, thank you for allowing us to share in your wedding day!
Soiree Floral created a beautiful setting and Ron Lynch captured these stunning shots.

When a hurricane hits a wedding... Here comes Irene!
We were pleasantly surprised this morning to have received this email from one of our favorite 2010 brides:

Ellie & Will's Nantucket Wedding
This June we were able to help Ellie and Will coordinate their perfect summer wedding at The Westmoor Club on Nantucket;
Claudia Kronenberg did a wonderful job photographing some of our favorite wedding moments... as always, thank you Claudia for sharing your work!
Click here for the full portfolio, otherwise see below for some of our favorite moments.
The bride and her dad arrived at the church via specialty car (Dad loved this!)

Ellie and Will had a very special wedding ceremony at St. Paul's in town...

Our bride surprised her groom with a specialty car too!

Dawn Kelly of Soiree Floral and Jen Shepard of Placesetters worked together to create a stunning tent scape.

We particularly loved the bridal bouquet; so simple, yet so stunning!

And after spending summers here growing up, who would want a wedding cake when you could have cupcakes from Nantucket Bake Shop!

As a treat for their guests towards the end of the evening the bride and groom surprised their guests...

... who doesn't love dress up?!

Happy Daffy!

Well folks, after a long and grey winter it’s finally that time of year again!... Daffodil Weekend is upon us at last!
Every year it feels like spring will never come and then before we know it the restaurants are open for business, the ferries are adding extra boats, the shops are opening their doors, and there are daffodils everywhere we look!
May all of our friends, new and old, have a fabulous weekend, and may “Daffy” be the first of many fantastic weekends on our island paradise!
This Is What Love Is
One of our all time favorite things is hearing about the super cute things our couples do for each other. This week Mark went above and beyond for his beautiful fiance Zofia... of Nantucket's very own Zofia Photo.
Unbeknownst to Zofia, Mark snuck around and coordinated with Darya, of Darya Salon to create a surprise day of spa relaxation. After being primped and pampered Zofia was surprised yet again by some of her nearest and dearest photographer friends who came to the island to shoot a special engagement session for Mark and Zofia.
To top off this delightful day, Mark will be staying home with the lovely and adorable Ava this evening, while Zofia gets to do a "girls night out" with her mainland friends!
It's all about the sweet little things you do for each other, and Mark we think you are a catch! Can't wait for your wedding!
Andi & Mark's Wedding
We just got the pictures from one of our favorite couples and we just had to share them with you!
Andi and Mark's wedding, which was hosted at a private home on island, was such a great affair with so many special details and moments. Photos done by Kristy May Photography

Mark and Andi opted to host their rehearsal dinner at the always fabulous, and very "Nantucket" Slip 14; classic and casual all in one!

Andi and Mark put their own "Compass Rose" on their ceremony programs; it was a great personal touch that all of the guests really loved.

The groomsmen expressing their individuality!

An old fashioned car can be such fun for bridal transportation... dad loved it too!

Super cute alternative to a traditional escort table, when all was said and done a nautical chart of Nantucket was exposed.

Everyone LOVED having croquet and other lawn games during cocktail hour!

Yay! Mr. and Mrs. Rose! Congratulations Andi and Mark, may you share a lifetime full of love and laughter!
